Colocation and managed datacenter services are an important part of Rogers Business's long-term strategy to support our business clientele. We continue to invest in our datacenter business and expand our footprint. Currently, we have 12 datacenters across Canada with 3 in Calgary, 2 in Edmonton, 1 in London, 1 in Toronto, 3 in Ottawa, 1 in Hamilton, and 1 in Halifax.

Our datacenters in Edmonton, Calgary, Toronto, and Ottawa all hold Uptime Tier III certifications and in the past 5 years, we have focused on expanding our footprint with modern Tier III datacenters. By consolidating our smaller datacenters into our Tier III facilities we are able to provide our customers with better value and quality.

We have also built our datacenters on top of our redundant, cross-Canada 25,000km fiber-optic network to provide reliable performance. In total, we have approximately 200,000 sq ft of raised floor space and all our datacenters meet industry standards. Our datacenters are ISO 27001 certified, and compliant with PCI-DSS, SOC 2 Type II, SOC 1 (SSAE18) Type II, HIPAA, and GLBA.

Rogers datacentre and colocation services

We see colocation and Canadian cloud services as important requirements for Canadian businesses considering digital sovereignty requirements. Accordingly, we offer colocation, dedicated hosting, and private and virtual private cloud services.

Our cloud services are SOC 2 Type II and CSA STAR Level 2 (Cloud Security Alliance) compliant, and ISO 27001 certified. Within those services, you can choose to self-monitor, have proactive monitoring (alerts) and patching, or have it fully managed. Additionally, in some instances, we are also able to extend our capabilities to manage your owned on-premises datacenter. We also offer additional services such as data protection and datacenter migration services as well as managed connectivity to public cloud environments.

Our investments into our datacentre infrastructure are part of our wireless 5G and multi-access edge computing (MEC) strategy to enable Canadian enterprises to bring advanced, cloud-native applications closer to end users and edge devices.

What sets Rogers apart

Our 5G and MEC strategy is how we are differentiating ourselves from the competition. Our MEC capabilities combined with 5G wireless networks allow businesses like yours to gather, process, analyze, and take action both in real-time and in close proximity.

5G wireless also enables network slicing that makes the provision of complex enterprise applications much more efficient. We believe in providing customers with the flexibility to choose how to run and manage workloads. We offer a sovereign Canadian option and believe integrated solutions are required to meet industry-specific requirements.

From a strategy perspective, we are working on continuing to enable edge, hybrid cloud, and multicloud workloads. We are building out a road map to provide businesses with greater functionality in areas like multicloud networking, datacenter infrastructure management (DCIM) software, and renewable power.

Reasons to choose Rogers

Here are the top 3 reasons why you should consider Rogers Business for your datacentre and cloud needs:

We aim to be your link between your on-premises datacenters and hyperscale public clouds; we can help you manage your cloud/datacentre infrastructure or you can leverage us as your sovereign Canadian digital home for mission-critical workloads. By working with Rogers Business you can reduce capital and operational expenses, reduce staffing costs, and have access to Tier III datacenters with higher uptime availability.
