What are Hunt Groups?
Hunt Groups are teams or departments of employees in a related role, such as sales or customer service. You can set up specific extensions and users to receive calls based on your Ring My Numbers settings.
With Hunt Groups, your customers won't be left on hold and you won't miss any calls.
How do I set up a Hunt Group?
From the Welcome or Overview page, click on the "Set up Hunt Group" link then "New" or "Edit" to modify an existing Hunt Group.
You can set Hunt Group lines to ring in the following ways:
Simultaneously – Ring all lines at the same time
Sequentially – Ring lines one at a time
Circular – Ring lines sequentially, but starting where the last call left off
There are also settings for how long to ring each Hunt Group member before moving to the next available group member, and how to treat calls when all team members are busy with other calls. If calls should always follow your Hunt Group settings, select the "All the Time" radio button or designate forwarding instructions for after hours.
Don't forget to assign scheduling options to your Hunt Groups, as you do with your business and operating hours.
When you are finished with these settings, you can add users by clicking "Next" and selecting the users you want in the group. Just search for the users from your employee directory and click "Add All".
