If you are using a mobile phone that you have purchased outside of Canada or from a different carrier, you may be able to use it with Rogers as long as it is "unlocked".
Things to know:
- Devices that use the following frequencies are compatible with the Rogers network
Network Technology Frequency Bands 2G (GSM/EDGE) 850 MHz B5 3G (UMTS/HSPA) 850 MHz B5 4G LTE 700 MHz B12 4G LTE 850 MHz B5 4G LTE 1900 MHz B2, B25 4G LTE 1700/2100 MHz (AWS) B4, B66 4G LTE 2600 MHz B7 5G 600 MHz N71 (DSS) 5G 1700/2100 MHz (AWS) N66 (DSS) 5G 2500 MHz N41 - If your device is currently locked, it needs to be unlocked.
- To use your unlocked device, you need to buy a Rogers SIM card.
- Once you've obtained a Rogers SIM card:
- If the SIM card is already activated, simply insert your SIM card into your mobile phone or smartphone.

- If you want to use the internet on your unlocked phone, you must also subscribe to a Data Plan or purchase a Data Pass.
