Will my unlocked mobile device work with the Rogers network?

Overview

If you are using a mobile phone that you have purchased outside of Canada or from a different carrier, you may be able to use it with Rogers as long as it is "unlocked".

Things to know:

  1. Devices that use the following frequencies are compatible with the Rogers network

    2G (GSM/EDGE) 850 MHz B5
    3G (UMTS/HSPA) 850 MHz B5
    4G LTE 700 MHz B12
    4G LTE 850 MHz B5
    4G LTE 1900 MHz B2, B25
    4G LTE 1700/2100 MHz (AWS) B4, B66
    4G LTE 2600 MHz B7
    5G 600 MHz N71 (DSS)
    5G 1700/2100 MHz (AWS) N66 (DSS)
    5G 2500 MHz N41
    If you are unsure how to check the frequencies your device supports, try the manufacturer's official website and search for the specifications for your particular phone/smartphone model. If your device is not compatible, check out the latest selection of Rogers mobile phones and smartphones.
  2. If your device is currently locked, it needs to be unlocked.
  3. To use your unlocked device, you need to buy a Rogers SIM card.
