How to use Voice Guidance on Rogers Xfinity TV
Activating or deactivating Voice Guidance
Using voice commands
The easiest way to turn Voice Guidance on or off is using voice commands with your Voice Remote.
- Ensure that the volume is raised on your TV.
- Press and hold the Mic button on your Rogers Xfinity Voice Remote and say "Voice Guidance."
- Follow the spoken/on-screen instructions to turn Voice Guidance on or off.
- Once activated, Voice Guidance will announce the text currently on screen, as well as navigation instructions.
Using your remote
- Locate the B button on your Rogers Xfinity Voice Remote. The B button is small, square shaped and found near the middle of your remote. Tapping the B key twice will turn on Voice Guidance.
- Once activated, Voice Guidance will announce the text currently on screen, as well as navigation instructions.
Change the Speech Rate of Voice Guidance
- Turn on Voice Guidance.
- Press the B button on your Rogers Xfinity Voice Remote to open the Accessibility Settings screen. The B button is small, square shaped and found near the middle of your remote.
- In Accessibility Settings, press the down arrow button until you hear "Voice Guidance Options," then press OK.
- You'll hear "Voice Guidance Speech Rate" followed by the rate that is currently selected. Press OK again to open the Speech Rate options.
- Use the up and down arrow keys to choose from Regular, Fast or Fastest Speech Rate, then press OK.
- Press Exit to return to your program.
Now, as you explore your Rogers Xfinity TV on-screen menus and options, Voice Guidance will use the new speech rate you have chosen. To change the Speech Rate, repeat the steps above.
