Enable or Disable SIM PIN Lock on Apple iPhones

The following steps explain how to enable or disable the SIM PIN lock feature on Apple iPhones.

You can use a SIM PIN to prevent access to cellular data networks. To use cellular data, you must enter the PIN whenever you swap SIM cards or restart your phone.

Note: If you enabled a SIM PIN and forgot to PIN number, you will have limited attempts to enter the PIN number. If you failed to enter the correct PIN you will need to contact Rogers for assistance to unlock the SIM card, further attempts may disable the SIM card entirely.

  1. Click Settings.
  2. Select Phone.
  3. Select SIM PIN.
  4. Toggle the SIM PIN feature On or Off.
    • You will be prompted to enter your SIM PIN.

The following steps explain how to enable or disable the SIM PIN lock feature on Android smartphones.

  1. Click Settings.
  2. Select Security.
  3. Select Set up SIM card lock.
  4. Toggle the SIM card lock feature On or Off.
    • You will be prompted to enter your SIM PIN.

Set up a SIM Card PIN on your ZTE Device

The following steps explain how to create or modify a SIM card PIN for ZTE rocket sticks.

  1. Open the Rogers Connection Manager software.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Click Security.
  4. To create a new PIN, select PIN enable then click Apply
  5. To edit an existing PIN number, click on Change PIN.
    • When prompted, enter in your PIN and click OK to accept the change.

Note: After five incorrect attempts at guessing the security PIN, the SIM card will cease to work. You will be prompted to enter a Password Unlock Code (PUK). If you do not have this code do not attempt to enter it, as it will disable your PIN. To get your PUK please speak to a Mobile Internet Technical Support Consultant.
