OK, I read the above and I’m confident that this article is for me…

So how do I set up my eero mesh network?

To set up your Wall-to-Wall WiFi (eero) network:

  1. Set your Wall-to-Wall WiFi hub network to Bridge Mode (Easy)
  2. Turn off your Rogers WiFi modem’s wireless network (Moderate difficulty)

Setting your Wall-to-Wall WiFi network to Bridge Mode (Easy)

The first step in setting up in setting up your Wall-to-Wall WiFi network is to confirm that it is set to Bridge Mode.

What’s Bridge Mode?

With your Wall-to-Wall WiFi network set to Bridge Mode your Rogers modem/router will manage your network connections while eero will provide WiFi access.

Head’s up! Though setting your Wall-to-Wall WiFi network to Bridge Mode will give you all the benefits of mesh, it will mean that you can’t manage some advanced network features in the eero app.

Tip: After you’ve placed your Wall-to-Wall WiFi hub to Bridge Mode and turned off your Rogers modem’s WiFi network, you can manage your network’s more advanced features—i.e. DNS, DHCP reservations and port forwarding, etc.—in your Rogers modem’s settings. Skip ahead to learn how.

Bridging your Wall-to-Wall WiFi hub and beacon(s)

  1. Open the eero app.
  2. Tap on the hamburger menu on the top left.
  3. Choose Network settings > Advanced settings.
  4. Tap DHCP & NAT.
  5. Ensure that Bridge is checked. (If it isn’t already checked, be sure to check it.)
  6. Tap Save on the top right.

Turning off your Rogers WiFi modem’s wireless network (Moderate difficulty)

After you’ve set your Wall-to-Wall WiFi network to Bridge Mode the second, and last, step to setting up your eero network is to turn off WiFi on your Rogers modem.

Caution: After you turn off WiFi on your Rogers modem, you will no longer be able to connect to your modem wirelessly; until you turn on its WiFi again or perform a factory reset, you’ll only be able to connect to your modem via Ethernet cable support-eero-mesh-lan port.
