Cleaning the Touchpad

It’s important you put the Touchpad in cleaning mode before you start cleaning the screen. Here’s how.

  1. On the Touchpad, press Settings.
  2. Select Touchscreen.
  3. Select Clean Screen.
  4. Press and hold Clean Screen for 30 seconds to activate a 30-second countdown. You have 30 seconds to clean the Touchpad screen without fear of pressing any buttons.

Disable Test Mode on the Touchpad

If you put your Touchpad in Test Mode to tests the alarms and make sure they’re functioning properly, here’s how to disable Test Mode to return the Touchpad to its regular settings.

  1. On the Touchpad, press Settings.
  2. Enter your Master Access Code.
  3. Select Security.
  4. Select Alarm Test.
  5. Select Next.
  6. Select Arm.
  7. Wait until the screen displays “System Armed.”
  8. Select Disarm. The Touchpad is now out of Test Mode.

Reboot the Touchpad

You can reboot, or restart, the Touchpad to troubleshoot most Touchpad issues.

  1. On the Touchpad, select Settings.
  2. Enter your Master Access Code.
  3. Select Advanced Settings.
  4. Select Reboot Touchpad.
  5. Select Reboot Touchpad
  6. Enter your Master Access Code.
  7. The Touchpad will shut down and restart.

Set Night Mode Dimming on the Touchpad

Follow these steps to set Night Mode Dimming on the Touchpad, which causes the screen to lower its brightness at nighttime.

  1. On the Touchpad, select Settings.
  2. Select Touchscreen.
  3. Select Screen Configuration.
  4. Select Do Not Disturb.
  5. Select Screen Backlight. Some backlight controls will display.
  6. Under Backlight Off at Night, select Yes.
  7. Under Backlight Off Time, set the time you want the Touchpad to dim to Level 1.
  8. Under Backlight On Time, set the time you want the Touchpad to brighten to default level.
  9. The Touchpad screen will now automatically enter Night Mode Dimming and revert to its default lighting at your designated times.

Should I keep my Touchpad plugged in even when it’s not in use?

Yes, you should keep your Touchpad plugged in at all times so it stays connected to WiFi. This will also ensure that the backup battery is fully charged in the event of a power outage.
