Customize Rogers Xfinity Camera motion detection

The Camera area setting in the Rogers Xfinity App allows you to create a customized area that filters out any motion outside of the selected area without reducing your camera view. Narrowing the motion detection area of your camera reduces the number of motion notifications and recorded motion event clips.

Create a Customized Camera Area

Download the Rogers Xfinity App from the App Store or Google Play if you haven’t already.
Sign in with your MyRogers username and password.
Select the Home
Select the camera thumbnail.
Select the settings icon on the upper-right of the camera screen.
Select Camera area.
Select the On/Off switch to enable camera area settings.
Select, hold, and slide the corners of the 6-sided polygon to create the customized camera area.
Select Save.

Note: Creating a customized area does not impact 24/7 recording.
