How to fix pairing issues with your Ignite Door/Window Sensor - Sercomm

If your Ignite Door/Window Sensor - Sercomm didn’t pair with the Ignite HomeConnect app on the first try, you may want to double-check that you’ve followed all the steps in the pairing process. If you forgot to pull out the activation strip when instructed, or if you’ve inserted the battery the wrong way around, your sensor won’t enter pairing mode. 

Follow these steps to reset your Ignite Door/Window Sensor. 

  1. Remove the sensor cover. 
  2. Remove the battery from the sensor. 
  3. Press and hold the tamper switch, located next to the battery. 
  4. Insert the battery. The LED will light up for 4 seconds when it’s done booting up. 
  5. Release the tamper switch once the LED is lit. 
  6. Place the cover back on the sensor. 

Your Ignite Door/Window Sensor has now been reset. You can pair it by following the instructions in How to set up and install your Ignite Door/Window Sensor - Sercomm
