How to replace the batteries in your Ignite Door/Window Sensor - Sercomm

To keep your Ignite Door/Window Sensor - Sercomm working properly, replace the battery within two weeks of the first low battery warning in the Ignite HomeConnect app. Make sure to use the right type of batteries for safe operation (CR2450) and dispose of used batteries according to the manufacturer’s instructions. 

Follow these steps to open the sensor and replace the battery. 

  1. Remove sensor cover. 
  2. Remove existing battery. 
  3. Insert the new battery. 
  4. Place the cover back on the sensor. 

Your sensor may take a couple minutes to reboot before returning to normal function.
