How to manage your Rogers Wireless Home Internet WiFi password and network name

In this article, learn how to find, share, and change your Rogers Wireless Home Internet WiFi password and network name using the Rogers Xfinity app.

If you’re a Rogers Together With Shaw customer, make sure to use the Rogers Xfinity (Shaw) app and log in with your Shaw ID and password. 

Find your WiFi password using the Rogers Xfinity app

  1. Sign in to the Rogers Xfinity app using your MyRogers username and password.
  2. From the WiFi tab, select WiFi details.
  3. Select the eye icon next to your password to show it.

How to change/update your WiFi Password & Network Name using the Rogers Xfinity app

  1. Sign in to the Rogers Xfinity app using your MyRogers username and password. 
  2. From the WiFi tab, select WiFi details.
  3. Select Edit WiFi settings.
  4. Update your WiFi network name and password as desired. Then, press Save.

Share your WiFi password using the Rogers Xfinity app

  1. Sign in to the Rogers Xfinity app using your MyRogers username and password.
  2. From the WiFi tab, select WiFi details. A QR code will display on screen. You can scan or share it. Alternatively, you can also choose to share your WiFi password in other ways like email or text. When choosing to share this way, your WiFi password will be visible in the message you share.

Managing your WiFi network name from your modem

If you have an older Rogers modem, you can also manage your WiFi password and network name from the modem’s admin console via a web browser. Note that before changing your WiFi network name, you may need to connect your computer directly to the modem with an ethernet cable. 

Arris Surfboard WiFi modem (SBG6782)

To change the wireless network name on your Arris Advanced WiFi modem: 

  1. Enter 192.168.0.1 in your web browser's address bar. 

  1. Log in to the modem with the following information: 

    • Username: cusadmin 

    • Password: Use the password printed on a sticker on your modem. 

  1. In the Quick Start Wizard, select Manage Wi-Fi Network. 

  1. Select the 5 GHz tab, if you are changing the network name of your 5 GHz network. 

  1. Next to Network Name (SSID), enter a new WiFi network name. 

  1. Select Apply to save your changes.

Cisco WiFi modem

To change the wireless network name of your Cisco WiFi modem: 

  1. Enter 192.168.0.1 in your web browser's address bar. 

  1. Log in with the following information: 

    • Username: cusadmin 

    • Password: Use the password printed on a sticker on your modem (usually a 9-digit number starting with 2xxxxxxxx) 

  1. SelectSetup at the top of the page. 

  1. Select the Quick Setup tab. 

  1. The field next to Wireless Network Name (SSID) is the current name of your wireless network. Replace the name with a new name. 

  1. Select Save Settings.

SMC WiFi modem

To change the wireless network name of your Shaw SMC WiFi modem: 

  1. Enter 192.168.0.1 in your web browser's address bar. 

  1. Log in with the following information: 

    • Username: cusadmin 

    • Password: Use the case-sensitive password printed on a sticker on your modem. 

  1. Select Wireless. 

  1. The field next to Primary SSID is the current name of your wireless network. Replace the name with a new name (maximum of 32 characters in length). 

  1. Select Apply to save changes.
