How to troubleshoot your Rogers Xfinity Voice Remote (XR100)
Replacing the batteries
If your voice remote isn’t responding, it may be out of battery. Follow these steps to replace the batteries.
- On the underside of your voice remote, press down on the battery cover and slide it off the remote.
- Remove the old batteries.
- Insert two new or fully charged AAA batteries into the battery slots, matching the negative and positive sides with the indicators in the battery compartment.
- Slide the battery cover back on to close.

How to factory reset your remote
If the battery level is good and re-pairing or re-programming didn’t resolve your issue, you can try doing a factory reset of your remote.
- Simultaneously press and hold the Back (←) button and the Add (+) button until you hear a beep.
- Press 9, then 8, then 1.
- Wait for the confirmation beeps to finish resetting your remote.
- Once this is complete, you can retry pairing your voice remote by pressing the button while pointing at the TV box.
- Follow the on-screen steps to complete the pairing process.
