Streaming with Rogers Xfinity TV

Streaming live TV

The Rogers Xfinity TV Guide makes it easy to browse your live TV options.

  1. Press the Rogers button on your Rogers Xfinity Voice Remote to open the main menu.
  2. Select Guide to open the TV listings grid.
  3. Use the up and down arrow buttons to navigate the channels.
  4. Use the left and right arrow buttons to browse program times.
  5. Use the OK button to select the program you want to watch.

How to view channel information

Follow these steps to view specific channel information from within the Rogers Xfinity TV guide. 

  1. Press the Guide button on your remote control to open the listings guide. 

  1. Navigate to the desired channel within the guide.  

  1. Use the left arrow to highlight the channel name/number/logo and press OK on the remote. 

Choose from the following options: 

  • Choose Watch to watch the channel. 

  • Choose Record to set up a manual recording.

  • Choose Favourite to add the channel to your favourites list. 

  • Choose Channel Info to view a list of upcoming programs on that channel. 

  • Choose Lock to lock the channel via Parental Controls.  The "Lock" option only appears if Parental Controls is enabled.  

  1. Press the up arrow to go back to the Guide (with the channel name still highlighted). Then, press the right arrow to highlight the program listings again (the default guide state). 

  1. Press the Exit button on the remote exit the Guide. 

You can also view channel information from the Mini Guide. After accessing the channel listings, use the up arrow button to highlight Channel Info and press OK on the remote.

 

Finding program information

Get info on the movie, TV show or event you’re interested in.

  1. Press the Rogers button on your Rogers Xfinity Voice Remote to open the main menu.
  2. Find the program you want by browsing the Guide, the On Demand menu or the Search menu.
  3. Highlight the program, then press the Info button on your Rogers Xfinity Voice Remote. Depending on the type of program you’ve chosen, select Series Info or Movie Info.

Series Info

The Series Info option displays information about a TV series. Select any of the following on-screen options to learn more about or act on the series you’ve chosen.

  • Episodes: Access the series’ Episode Guide
  • Record: Set up a recording of the series
  • Parental Guide: View the program’s rating
  • Favourite: Add the series to your Favourites

Movie Info

The Movie Info option displays information about a movie. Select any of the following on-screen options to learn more about or act on the movie you’ve chosen.

  • Watch: watch the movie if it’s currently airing
  • Buy: buy the movie if it’s available for purchase via On Demand
  • Trailer: watch the movie’s trailer if it’s available
  • Extras: view or buy extra content like behind-the-scenes featurettes and photo galleries.
  • Mark Watched or Mark Unwatched: this can be done for any movies available On Demand
  • Record: set up a recording of the movie if it’s airing live
  • Other Times: Browse other times to watch the movie on the same channel
  • Lock: lock the title
  • Parental Guide: view the movie’s rating

Note: You can also use the down arrow button to browse the More Like This section, which recommends similar titles.

With a voice command

  1. Press and hold the Mic button on your Rogers Xfinity Voice Remote.
  2. Use a voice command like “Trending” or “Trending movies.” Programs that are currently trending on Rogers Xfinity TV will display.

Without a voice command

  1. Press the Guide button on your Rogers Xfinity Voice Remote to open the Select Your View screen.
  2. Select the Trending icon. Programs that are currently trending on Rogers Xfinity TV will display.
