Checking the battery level

If you’re having trouble with your Rogers Xfinity voice remote, one of the first things you should do is check the battery level.

Note: If your LED blinks red five times when pressing any button, this indicates that your battery power is extremely low and the AA batteries should be replaced as soon as possible as this can prevent the remote from functioning properly.

Replacing the batteries

  1. On the underside of your voice remote, locate the tab or a raised ridge. Press down on it and slide the battery cover down to open.
  2. Remove the old batteries.
  3. Insert two new or fully charged AA batteries into the battery slots, matching the negative and positive sides.
  4. Slide the battery cover back to close.
