Use the Functions on the CentraLite Pearl Thermostat

The following steps explain how to use the functions on the CentraLite Pearl Thermostat.

Entering Programming Mode

  1. Press the MODE button until OFF is displayed.
  2. Before the thermostat enters sleep mode, press and hold the Hidden Menu button (located in the empty space between the HOLD button and FAN button), and swipe down on the right slider.
  3. When the display changes to 01 (indicating that the thermostat is in programming mode), release the Hidden Menu button.
  • HOLD = Enter Menu / Save Settings
  • MODE = Exit Menu Item
  • (+) and (-) = Cycle Menu Options / Settings

Switching to Fahrenheit/Celsius

  1. Enter programming mode.
    • Refer to steps listed above for entering programming mode.
  2. Advance through the menu using the slider on the right until 01 is displayed.
  3. Press HOLD until 00 (Celsius) appears.
  4. Use the slider to change it to 01 (Fahrenheit).
  5. Press HOLD again to save the change.
  6. Tap MODE to return to the main screen.

Programming Thermostat for a Heat Pump

  1. Enter programming mode.
    • Refer to steps listed above for entering programming mode.
  2. Press (+) until the display reads 02.
  3. Press HOLD, then press (+) until the display reads 01 and then press HOLD again to save the changes.
  4. Tap MODE until the thermostat display returns to its normal state.
  5. Press HOLD again to save the change.
  6. Tap MODE to return to the main screen.

Autosensing Mode

Based on the wiring configuration, the thermostat automatically detects which type of heat pump system your HVAC system uses.

Programming Thermostat for Gas or Oil Heat

  1. Enter programming mode.
    • Refer to steps listed above for entering programming mode.
  2. Press (+) until the display reads 03.
  3. Press HOLD, then press (+) until the display reads 01 (for Gas, Oil, or Fuel) or 00 (for Electric - default).
  4. Press HOLD again to save your changes.
  5. Tap the MODE button until the thermostat display returns to its normal state.

Testing Thermostat Operation

  1. After completing any necessary configuration activities, make sure the thermostat is in cool mode by pressing the MODE button until COOL appears on the main display.
  2. Make sure the system is not calling for cooling by setting the set-point several degrees above room temperature.
  3. Check the fan operation by pressing the FAN button. When the fan indicator is illuminated without the Auto indicator, air should blow from the unit
  4. Make sure the fan mode is set to AUTO and run the set-point temperature at least several degrees below room temperature.
    • Give the thermostat at least 3 minutes to respond.
  5. Change the system mode to HEAT.
    • Give the system at least 3 minutes to respond.
    • The Heat mode symbol (flame) should illuminate and the system should be blowing hot air.
  6. Press HOLD again to save the change.
  7. Tap MODE to return to the main screen.
