Set up your voicemail
- Dial *98 from your home phone.
- If you’re prompted to enter your phone number, please contact Technical Support.
- Enter your temporary password.
- Your temporary password is the last four digits of your phone number. For example, if your number is 416 555-9876, then your temporary password is 9876.
- If you don’t get a prompt for your temporary password, your voicemail may already be set up.
- Follow the prompts to set up your password, name and personal greeting.
- If you’re not able to complete setting up your password, name or personal greeting, simply dial *98 again and enter your temporary (or if applicable, your newly-created) password.
How do I know if I have a new voicemail message?
If there’s a new voicemail message waiting, you’ll be notified by a “stuttering” dial tone when you pick up your phone. Many home phone sets now also have a message waiting indicator (i.e. a light that flashes or screen notification/message) that alerts you when there’s a new voicemail message.
