Apple Music is a music streaming service that lets you listen to a catalog of 60 million songs, ad-free. You can also download music to listen to offline, watch music videos and create playlists of your favorite songs.
What happens after the 6-month promotion ends?
Once your promotion ends, you’ll automatically be charged your Apple Music monthly subscription fee (currently $9.99/month plus applicable taxes per subscriber) unless you cancel your subscription before the promotion ends.
Your subscription fee will show up directly on your Rogers bill.
What if I have an existing Apple Music subscription?
You're still eligible for this promotion as long as you have an eligible Rogers Infinite plan. Once you activate our promotion and follow our instructions to link your Apple ID, you'll be prompted within the Apple Music app to cancel one of your subscriptions. Cancelling with Apple means that you’ll be subscribing through Rogers instead and will be able to take advantage of the Rogers Apple Music promotion.
How long do I have to take advantage of this promotion?
From the moment you switched to the eligible plan, you had 90 days to subscribe to Apple Music and activate this promotion. You can activate this promotion for all eligible lines on your account. You can start listening to Apple Music as soon as you sign up through Rogers.
How do I activate my 6-month promotion?
When you switched to an eligible plan, you received a text message within 12 hours with info on how to subscribe to Apple Music and activate your promotion. Just follow the link in the text message and it will take you directly to the MyRogers subscription page, where you can follow the steps to activate your promotion.
You can also log in to your MyRogers account, go to “More”, go to the section labelled “Subscriptions”, and follow the instructions we’ve provided. Once you do this, your Apple Music subscription and 6-month promotion starts.
Next, you need to link an Apple ID to the Apple Music app or create an Apple ID if you don’t have one. Each eligible line will receive a text message with instructions on how to do this. You can also go directly to the Apple Music app and select "Joined with Rogers" to create or link an Apple ID.
If you are already paying for an Apple Music subscription, you must activate your promotion by using the link we sent to you via text message.
What happens once the 6-month promotion ends? How will I pay for my Apple Music subscription?
We'll text you before your promotion ends to let you know that your paid subscription will start the following month.
A monthly subscription fee (currently $9.99 per subscriber) will be charged to your Rogers bill after the promotion ends unless you cancel your subscription beforehand. Subscription fees for Apple Music will appear on your bill in the Wireless services section under "Monthly charges".
How do I cancel my Apple Music subscription with Rogers?
To cancel your Apple Music subscription with Rogers:
- Log in to MyRogers.
- Go to “More” and then to the section labelled “Subscriptions”.
- Select “My Subscriptions”.
- Select the subscription you wish to cancel.
- Select “Cancel Subscription”.
- Follow the prompts we’ve provided.
If you cancel your subscription during the 6-month promotional period, you can still listen to Apple Music until the end of that period. You must cancel your subscription at least 1 day before your promotional period ends to avoid charges.
How do I view the details about my subscription?
You can review the start and end dates of your 6-month promotion (if applicable), as well as the cost of your subscription by going to MyRogers, then to “More”, then to the section labelled “Subscriptions”, and then selecting “My Subscriptions”.
What happens to my Apple Music subscription if I cancel my Rogers plan?
If you cancel your Rogers phone plan during the 6-month promotional period, your access to Apple Music will end. If you cancel your Rogers phone plan while paying for a monthly subscription, you will have access until the end of your Apple Music billing cycle.
After your 6-month promotional period ends, your Apple Music account information will remain intact for 90 days. To restart your subscription, you will need to sign up again through Apple, which you can do right in the Apple Music app.
What do I do if I’ve subscribed to Apple Music through both Apple and Rogers, and would like to stop subscribing through Rogers?
If you’re currently subscribed to Apple Music through both Apple and Rogers, and would like to cancel your subscription with Rogers, do the following:
- Log in to MyRogers.
- Go to “More” and then to the section labelled “Subscriptions”.
- Select “My Subscriptions”.
- Select the subscription you wish to cancel.
- Select “Cancel Subscription”.
- Select “I’m already paying for an Apple Music subscription” as your reason for cancelling.
Once this has been done, your subscription with Rogers will end and you will continue to be subscribed through Apple.
If I cancel my existing Apple Music subscription to enroll in this promotion with Rogers, will I lose my saved music and playlists?
When you cancel your existing subscription, your music and playlists will carry over automatically as long as you sign in within 90 days using the same Apple ID as before.
What if I already have a family/student subscription? Can I also get this 6-month promotion?
No, unfortunately. Our promotion covers only the individual plan. If you want to take advantage of this 6-month promotion, you need to cancel your current Apple Music family/student subscription.
Keep in mind that if you have a family subscription and cancel it to get this promotion, all your other family lines will have their subscriptions cancelled.
What happens to my Apple Music subscription if I switch my Rogers Infinite plan to one that isn’t eligible?
To maintain access to Apple Music during the 6-month promotional period, you must have an eligible wireless plan for the duration of the 6-month promotional period.
Rogers may check your eligibility from time to time, and if you become ineligible to receive the promotional offer, including by downgrading to an ineligible wireless plan, Rogers may cancel your promotional period access to Apple Music immediately and without prior notice.
If your access to Apple Music is cancelled due to ineligibility, your paid subscription for Apple Music, originally set to begin after the promotional period ended, will also be cancelled.
