Am I eligible for the app?
Customers with the following products and services can use the Stingray Music app:
- Rogers Digital TV service subscribers with a Select TV package or equivalent (e.g. Basic) or higher.*
- Smartphone/tablet (iOS 7 or later and Android 4.0.3 and up) with internet access.
* For a monthly fee, customers on the Starter package can add the Stingray Plus Theme Pack to their TV package and get access to the app. Find Stingray Plus on the Theme Pack page.
Where can I get the app?
Download the Stingray Music app from Apple’s App Store or the Google Play Store.
How much data does the app use and how can I minimize my data usage?
Generally speaking, streaming a 4-minute song uses about 5MB of data (75MB per hour).

How do I download and install the app?
Here’s how to download and install the app on your Android or Apple device.
Installing the app on your Android device
- Open the Google Play Store app on your device.
- Tap Search (magnifying glass).
- In the search field, search for Stingray Music.
- Once you’ve found the app tap INSTALL.
Installing the app on your Apple device
- Open the App Store on your device.
- Tap Search (magnifying glass).
- In the search field, search for Stingray Music.
- Once you’ve found the app, tap GET , and then tap INSTALL.
- Provide your Apple security information to begin installing.
Signing up for Stingray Music and authenticating your account
Once you’ve installed the app on your Android or Apple device, getting started is easy. Discover a world of music by signing in to the app and authenticating your account.
Signing in
- Open the app on your device.
- Sign up for a Stingray account with your email address, or log in with Facebook Login.
Authenticating the app
Once you’ve created your account, authenticate for free and unlimited access to the Stingray Music app for as long as you’re on an eligible Rogers Digital TV package.
Here’s how:
On the TV Providers screen, select Rogers as your TV provider.
If you’re at home:
Authenticate the app without entering any codes by using your TV.
To do so:
- After you’ve chosen Rogers as your TV provider, select Authorize with your TV on the Authorization screen.
- Follow the app’s onscreen instructions and tune in to a Stingray Music channel on your TV.
(View the Stingray Music channel listings in your area on the TV Channels page.) - With your mobile device’s microphone close to the TV speakers, tap Start Listening.
If you’re not at home:
Once you choose Rogers as your TV provider you’ll get five days of complimentary use — so you can start listening to music right away.
To start listening to music after signing up without authenticating:
Once you’ve selected Rogers as your TV provider, select Other available options on the Authorization screen, then Authorize later.
To maintain your access to the Stingray Music App, remember to authenticate your account the next time you’re at home. Follow these steps to authenticate the app:
- Tap the Gear icon on the app’s top-left corner.
- Tap Manage Account.
- Tap Authorize.
Tune in to a Stingray Music channel on your TV.

Can I stream from the Stingray Music app to my TV and/or audio system?
